Web censorship 'bypass' unveiled

Professor Deibert and his group at the University of Toronto have done it again, trading in another tool to help keep Internet communications open and free.

from the BBC:

"The University of Toronto's Citizen Lab software, called psiphon, will be released on 1 December. The free program has been constructed to let citizens of countries with restricted web access retrieve and display web pages from anywhere."

That's awesome... but is it not similar to the EFF's tool, Privoxy/Tor? And is it a good idea to balkanize these anon proxy networks?
