North York Antenna Project

A nice big sector antenna is being set up by Steve, Bryn and Ron in North York... almost time to light up part of Yonge St. and the North face of a couple of nearby apartment buildings...

More later as the deployment develops!

That is cool. I know its probably not a big priority for anyone, but it would be nice if we could somehow update the "locations" map on the WN webpage, or maybe just post a list of node locations so we can better take advantage of the coverage.

best, and thanks again the hard work of all the volunteers.

Jonathon,

yeah, the node map is languishing a bit.

its hard to plot exactly where the WiFi signal reaches, though, and changing map scale distorts real size of the blue coverage blobs.

Hey, want a big antenna at your place? its about $200 for a full setup... but a 2x range antenna upgrade starts at only $30!
