Macintosh OS X Compatibility Reports-- Contribute!

Hello, all Wireless Nomad members who are Macintosh users -- over the last month or so I've had a couple of reports of weird behavior on Macintosh computers when logging in to the WiFi wireless. None of the five Macintosh computers I have access to encounter any problems, but I'm looking for feedback from anybody that has any issues.

So, if you have a Macintosh, and have encountered any wireless login strangeness over the last month, post a comment below, it can be anonymous if you like, and it would almost certainly be helpful!

we use macs and we had a small problem maybe a week or so ago. We couldnt log in. I shut down the router and modem, and when I restarted them we were fine.

Also we have had an intermittent thing where we get spontaneously disconnected while using the internet (not when things are idle). doesnt happen often, and we just have to log in again to get connected again.

ps. thanks for all your hard work. We really appreciate it...

The wireless side of things generally works for me but typically I'm on the wired network during the day.

I'll let you know if there is an obvious problem

On my home computer I occasionally experience the same problems that Jonathon describes, although sometimes I can't log in again because the log in page won't load. I end up to resetting the modem or rebooting. It happened this morning (Tueday) around 9:45am.

I'm also on a wireless mac at my work place and we sometimes experience the same problem using Bell Sympatico.

I need to login every time, even though there is a 'remember me' button. I don't think it's Firefox.

This morning I'm having to reconnect about every 5 minutes. Things are not idle as I'm updating web sites and have to constantly re login.

Anybody else having problems like this?

This evening I'm having problems, but so is my wife's XP laptop. DHCP was not issuing an IP. So I rebooted the router.

I've also noticed that the site SSL cert has expired (March 5th). Its a bit annoying, especially given the rate hike. :(

SSL certificate is now repurchased for 2 more years-- funded by part of the unfortunate but neccessary increase...
